வடுகை

Vadugapatti is a panchayat town in Theni district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Demographics

Just 3 km from Periyakulam on Andipatti road,It is located around mountains beneath kodaikannel, Most of the dames and tourist parts are located around the village ( Vaigai dam, Manjalar Dam ,Sothuparai Dam, Kodaikanal, Suruli Falls, Kumbakkarai Falls, thekkadi, Moonaru etc) with in 10 to 60 kmsf.

As of 2001 India census, Vadugapatti had a population of 12,354. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Vadugapatti has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 65%. In Vadugapatti, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The famous of Vadugapatti, Here is central weekly auction market for Garlic on weekly two times(Thursday and Sunday). Many business man would come to purcahse the Garlic.
